Destructo - Higher EP

My jaw hit the floor a couple weeks ago when I was watching the Hard Summer 2013 trailer. That was the first time I heard Destructo’s new tech house tune called “Higher”. As soon as it dropped at the 2:18 mark of the video, I was hooked and knew I had to have it.

Included with Gary Richard’s new EP are Brodinski and Tommy Trash’s remixes of the title track, along with another original by Destructo called “2112”. Destructo’s original piece has a funky groove to it that has me dancing in my chair already. Brodinski’s remix, who is also known as Louis Rogé, starts off with a little trap action before switching things up and going in to a French/acid house beat. Tommy Trash’s version, also known as Thomas Olsen, goes a little darker and harder that the original with some prominent percussion work. “2112”  goes in to the futuristic techno realms that Destructo has become known for.
