It’s no secret that this has been a big year for JOYRYDE, and what better way to cap it off than with some huge news? OWSLA label head Skrillex has signed the UK producer to his Los Angeles based record label for the official commercial release of “Hot Drum”. In addition to the release, there will also be three more tracks coming in an EP, set to be released by mid 2017.

Skrillex dropped “Hot Drum” as the first tune in his Boiler Room set which was a part of the International Music Summit Asia-Pacific in Shanghai, China in September. The song has also been supported by Diplo, Ephwurd, Don Diablo, Tchami, Habstrakt, Dyro, Mercer, Baauer, Arty, Mightyfools, Merk & Kremont, Throttle, and Cazztek. It’s awesome to see the support JOYRYDE has received after eight self releases, and with his signing to OWLSA, I can’t wait to hear what’s next from him.

JOYRYDE’s first live performance was at EDC Las Vegas at the Cosmic Meadow stage this past summer, a monumental accomplishment given his meteoric rise. If you missed his Los Angeles debut in September, it was definitely one for the ages as over 2,000 RYDRZ showed up. He had a few special guests make an appearance, including Ephwurd, Ghastly, NGHTMRE, and Slander. They all performed on a 1968 Dodge Charger with CO2 cannons coming out of the hood, a set that I hope JOYRYDE brings to a show near you.
