Whethan ft. Flux Pavilion & MAX - Savage (Bright Land Remix) + Interview

You might remember the name Bright Land from his future bass remix of “Good Life” by Oliver Heldens featuring Ida Corr from a few weeks ago. This time around, the mysterious producer takes on “Savage” by Whethan featuring Flux Pavilion and MAX. I had the chance to ask Bright Land a few questions regarding his style, inspirations, and what the rest of the year has in store for him.

Hello Bright Land, appreciate you answering a few questions. Can you give us a brief background on yourself?

Hello, I appreciate the chance to answer a few of your questions. But about a brief background on myself, I would like to keep it secret as it is. I want people to love my music for what they hear not for my name.

You’ve only started to post your songs on Soundcloud for a few months now, but a few of your tracks have over 13,000 plays. What’s that like for you and what’s been the response so far?

That’s actually something I would never expect, this amount of plays didn’t pop up in my deepest mind when I uploaded first few tracks. Amount of positive comments is really overwhelming.

I’m a fan of the future bass style I’ve heard in a few of your tracks. Who do you draw inspiration from when it comes to producing?

I draw my inspiration from my environment and things I see or hear, but if I would name an artist, it would probably be Flume.

The first song of yours that caught my attention was your remix of “Good Life” by Oliver Heldens. Why did you decide to put your spin on that song and how did it all come together?

This answer can be a little boring and simple, but I just liked the track from the first time I did hear it, so I thought: “How would it sound if I it was a Future Bass track?” and that’s pretty much how it all come together.

What are your plans for 2017?

I don’t really look in to the future. All I can say is getting my first ever tattoo with a Fox, that is inspired by the sneaky bass used in all of my productions. (I will update it on my Instagram that I will make soon). As about the music, all tracks I make are just ideas that came into my mind and I just encrypt it into music, I can’t really say much about my future releases at this point.

Only thing I can say is that there is an EP coming up very soon, containing many of unknown vocalists.

Favorite song of 2017 so far: Ok Money – Elonious, this track is fire.

Best track to play at peak time: I have many tracks I could play at peak time, I don’t have any favorites so I can’t name any of them.

Unexpected remix to switch things up: I have a couple of tracks I would like to remix, but I think it’s better if you all see it when it’s released. Why would I destroy your surprise?

Vocalist you’d most like to work with: All good vocalists nowadays want you to be a big producer first, so I don’t really have any vocalists I want to work with, as for now.
