The Prototypes - Pale Blue Dot / Lights

The Prototypes look to push drum and bass to the forefront of the scene with two tracks from their upcoming EP titled “City of Gold”. Chris Garvey and Nick White’s “Pale Blue Dot” and “Lights” are the two releases from DnB titan Futrebound’s own record label called Viper Recordings. The guys have been on my radar for a couple years now since I heard a some of their tracks in Pendulum’s BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix from 2010, as well as Drumsound & Bassline Smith’s from 2012.

“Pale Blue Dot” is a space themed, futuristic track with a bass line that will make you get up on your feet and dance. “Lights” is an uptempo and energetic song with an infectious anthemic melody. The Brighton based producers have been supported by Andy C, Knife Party, Zane Lowe, and Annie Mac and have produced remixes for the likes of Avicii, Bingo Players, Modestep, and Don Diablo. The pair have nowhere to go but up from here, so be sure to keep an eye on this talented duo!
