Tchami – Thump Mix [Download]

Is there anything better to do than listen to a mix by Tchami on a rainy day? I think not. The Parisian producer recently put together a mix for Thump that’s filled with some of the deepest, grooviest house you can imagine. Not much info exists about Tchami because he “really wanted to let my music speaks for itself in order to challenge myself a little bit more.” We do know that his artist name was “a name that has been given to me when I was in Africa. It’s a family name over there so it’s an honor for me to use it as my artist name.” Credited with having coined the term “future house” to describe his productions, meaning “something new in house music”, you can see how Tchami doesn’t follow the rules of house music and instead does his own thing. And it works.

Going beyond the cloud of mystery, it’s easy to see that the man makes some amazing tunes, whether it’s original mixes like “Promesses” and “Shot Caller” or remixes such as Janet Jackson’s “Go Deep” and AlunaGeorge’s “You Know You Like It”. Included in this mix are songs by Taiku & Nulight’s remix of “Jack”, AC Slater’s “Gunplay”, Chocolate Puma’s remix of “Bassline”, Low Steppa’s remix of “Tear It Down”, and Chris Malinchak’s “So Good To Me”.
