Sub Focus ft. MNEK – Close (Grandtheft Remix)

Sub Focus and MNEK’s “Close” recently received a distinctive tribal/tech house remix, courtesy of Toronto producer Grandtheft. Making use of various drum and percussion elements, the original track from Sub Focus’ album “Torus” turns into a song which has me moving and grooving. Both the original album and the remix package were released on Andy C’s Ram Records, which is home to the likes of Calyx & Teebee, Chase & Status, DC Breaks, Delta Heavy, and more. The added bass in the remix is definitely a plus, and when you add in the fact that Grandtheft still uses 19 year old MNEK’s vocals perfectly, it all adds up to a very danceable tune.
