Johan Gielen – Physical Overdrive (Darren Porter Remix)
So I was going through Soundcloud today to see what I missed over the weekend and came across this trance gem by Darren Porter, out now on High Contrast Recordings. He remixed Johan Gielen’s “Physical Overdrive” into a heart pounding thriller which definitely put my brain into overdrive once I heard it. Porter learned how to play piano and guitar by himself, which led him to scoring films for independent productions, trailers and videos games. This brought about his ability to learn the art of melodies, harmonies, and hooks, which he uses in his productions.
Currently based in Germany, Porter has been supported by Armin van Buuren and Sean Tyas, and was the winner of a remix competition put on by Dave Pearce. This remix is intensely powerful and captivating, and you’ll soon see what I mean at 1:42 of the song when my jaw hit the floor.
