Caspa + The Others – November 16 (Lot 613, Los Angeles)
If you liked the one hour mix you heard yesterday from The Others and love getting down to some dirty dubstep from Caspa, I have some great news for you. You can catch both of these amazing artists this Sunday, November 16th, at Lot 613 in Los Angeles, presented by Smog. Near the end of last month, Caspa came out with the first installment of “500”, an LP titled Episode One, with Episode Two being released next week on November 24th. The third part will include combine the first two episodes along with exclusive unreleased material and mixes. Here’s what Gary McCann had to say about the making of the album:
“500 is an album I wanted to make that didn’t compromise, and allowed me to be completely selfish. I wanted to be in the studio and have fun. I didn’t want to think about who would like it, or where it would be placed. It wasn’t about making music to fill stadiums; it was about making music to fill basements. It’s dark, cinematic, emotional, and raw. 500 is the soundtrack to that vision and movement.”
If the promo mix for “500” from Caspa doesn’t make you want to go see him and The Others perform, then I don’t know what will. Tickets are currently $20 as of now, with the next tier set at $25.
