Prydz X Olander – Essential Mix (3 Jan 2015)

The first Essential Mix of 2015 started off on a high note when Eric Prydz and Jeremy Olander combined forces for an exhilarating two hour mix. Host Pete Tong announced that every couple of months, they would take two artists and have them collaborate together to create a truly unique Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. The pair of Swedish producers kick off the series in style for the episode which aired Saturday, january 3rd, using tracks by Tonja Holma, Sébastien Léger, and Chymera among others.

Prydz’s 2013 Essential Mix received the honor of being voted as Essential Mix Of The Year, but as evident in this mix, he does not rest on his laurels. He includes tracks from his Prydz and Cirez D aliases, and Olander incorporates tunes from his Dhillon moniker as well. There’s also loads of IDs, private edits, and fan submitted songs that set the bar high for the first Essential Mix this year.

Be prepared for this two hour mix to take you on a journey through the minds of Prydz and Olander.
