Sonny Wharton – Trident EP

On June 28, 2015 by ocedm

Sonny Wharton’s new “Trident EP” has been released from X Records, an imprint of Steve Angello’s Size Records. The British DJ and producer has received support from the likes of Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, and Pete Tong. My favorite out of the two song EP would have to be the title track “Trident” with its driving house beats. “Go Get It” has a bouncing bassline that will draw you it to the dance floor in no time.

“The title track is a powerful roller, driven by a pulsating bassline and filled with synths and tech bleeps. ‘Go Get It’ builds via percussion into a pumping record with heavy subs, topped by intermittent vocals accentuating the climatic drops.

A regular artist on Brighton-based Skint Records and with releases on the likes of Size, Toolroom, Spinnin’ and Material, Sonny also runs his own successful label Whartone Records, which recently celebrated its 5th birthday with an album of re-edits by Sonny himself of releases both past and present.”
