2015 Halloween Events in Southern California
With Halloween falling on Saturday this year, there is no shortage of events happening throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. The above photo (from noted photographer Rukes) gives you a preview of what’s to come at HARD: Day of the Dead this year. Here are some shows and festivals taking place this weekend at various clubs and venues:

Exchange, Los Angeles – 10/31: Showtek, Mister Blaqk, and Rico Rox will be playing Saturday, October 31st as part of an Insomniac Halloween. 21+ general admission tickets for the 10pm show are $35, while VIP tickets are $100 and include express entry, three premium cocktails, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages until 2am and balcony access.
Create, Los Angeles – 10/31: Dutch DJ and producer Chuckie will be playing at the 3rd Annual Haunted Hellhouse this Saturday. 21+ tickets for the 10pm show are $35, with VIP Fast Pass tickets are $58 which includes no line or wait.
Sound Nightclub, Hollywood – 10/29-10/31: Sound Nightclub will be quite busy this weekend with a slew of talented performers set to take the stage. Thursday, October 29th will see Lee Burridge and Isaiah Martin; 21+ tickets are $25 with doors opening at 10pm. Friday, October 30th will have Carl Cox and Tara Brooks perform; additional 21+ tickets for the 10pm show will be sold at the door. Finally, on Saturday, October 31st, Nic Fanciulli will make an appearance, alongside Focus DJs Nonfiction and Josh Billings, with Boris M.D.; 21+ tickets are $25 for with doors opening at 9pm.

Avalon, Hollywood – 10/31: Dirty South will be playing another extended set at Avalon this weekend. His 4 hour 44 minute set from Fourth of July at the Hollywood venue has been listened to over 26,000 times. DJ Ideal will open things up before the Serbian-Australian takes over. Tickets for the 21+ show are $50 for the 10pm event.
Sutra, Costa Mesa – 10/29-10/31: Sutra will be another busy club the next few days as they host three DJs this Halloween weekend, where costumes will be encouraged all three days. Thursday, October 29th will see Tujamo play at the 21+ event; tickets are $15 with doors opening at 9pm. On Friday, October 30th, Vinai will be performing at the Costa Mesa venue; 21+ tickets for the 9pm show are $15. Saturday, October 31st is the Annual Halloween Bash with Steven Wright; 21+ tickets are $20 for the 9pm event.

Yost Theater, Santa Ana – 10/31: Bia2 is hosting the 5th Annual Yost Haunted Mansion this Saturday, October 31st. DJs set to perform include Mehrbod, Shahrzad, Kazillion, Blutex, Shan Nash, and Kas Van Door. Tickets for the 18+ event are $25 with doors opening at 9:30pm.
Ten Nightclub, Newport Beach 10/31: DJ Tre and Strip will be both playing at the Newport Beach venue with three dance areas. There will be a $10,000 costume contest in cash and prizes being awarded as well. Tickets for the 21+ show are $20 with doors opening at 9pm.
Escape: Psycho Circus, NOS Events Center – 10/30-10/31: Not much new has come from Insomniac regarding set times or the like since I posed about the lineup a few months ago, but Escape: Psycho Circus has a serious set of performers. The set of DJs for Day 1 includes Above & Beyond, Dannic, Dirtyphonics, Eric Prydz, Excision, Flux Pavilion, and Ilan Bluestone. Day 2 will see Breach, DJ Snake, Laidback Luke, MAKJ, Mat Zo, Moby, Seven Lions, and The Magician.
Two day general admission is $179/$189; VIP tickets are $309/$319. Friday and Saturday single day general admission tickets are $109/$119. Friday and Saturday single day VIP tickets are $159/$169.
HARD: Day of the Dead, Pomona Fairplex – 10/31-11/1: Also as previously posted on the site, the festival will be taking place Saturday, October 31st and Sunday, November 1st, but new are the set times listed above. Notable performers for Saturday include deadmau5, Nero, Flying Lotus, Tommy Trash, Jauz, Alison Wonderland, Pete Tong, Sub Focus, The M Machine, Haywyre, and Astronomar. Sunday’s list involves the likes of Skrillex, Gesaffelstein, Kill The Noise, Jack Beats, Claptone, AC Slater, marshmello, Chris Lake, SNBRN, Ghastly, and BOT.
Two day general admission tickets are $165 plus fees and VIP tickets are $290 plus fees. General admission for Saturday is $95 plus fees; VIP tickets are $150 plus fees. General admission for Sunday is $90 plus fees; VIP tickets are $150 plus fees.
