Axwell – Waiting For So Long (Gloria) (Original Mix)
While he might be best know for his energetic progressive house and big room tracks, Axwell shows us a softer side with the the release of “Waiting For So Long (Gloria)”. The song is actually a part of Axtone Ten, a compilation album celebrating 10 years of the label being in operation.
Here’s what Axwell has to say about the album: “To celebrate ten years of Axtone, along with some of our favourite tracks, I wanted to showcase the talents of Jens Grönberg (Axtone art director) who has been behind the label aesthetic from the start. Without him, Axtone wouldn’t be Axtone.”
The song has a bit of nu disco feel to it, and reminds me quite a bit of something that Madeon would produce. Amazingly, the slower paced tune is the Swede’s first solo production since 2013. The track has been played by W&W, Don Diablo, Sander van Doorn, and Deniz Koyu.
