Because nothing says Christmas like some gold ol’ drum and bass, here’s Technique Recordings with their “Technique 2016 Drum & Bass Annual” compilation album with loads of A+ material. The United Kingdom based imprint “was established in 1999 by Simon ‘Bassline’ Smith and Andy Wright of Drumsound in order to provide a fresh vehicle for their musical projects in jungle and drum n’ bass.” All but one of the songs were released this year, except for Gradual and Impak’s fast paced “Industry”.
The 32 track album features heavy hitters from Tantrum Desire, Document One, Erb N Dub, Kronology, Spectrem, J Majik, Gradual, and more. Two familiar tunes from label heads Drumsound & Bassline Smith are “I’m Gone” featuring Bully and “Rise of the Black Panther“.
