FISHER – Oi Oi EP
A couple of the biggest tech house tunes this summer were produced by Australian artist FISHER. Chances are you’ve heard “Stop It” or “Ya Kidding” in a DJs set the past few months, especially once you see who’s supported the songs so far. The “Oi Oi” EP (how fitting for an Aussie) was released through Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird record label.
Though the EP marks Paul Fisher’s solo debut on the imprint, this isn’t his first go around in the production realm. He is half of the well known tech house duo Cut Snake, along with Leigh “Sedz” Sedley. “Stop It” tells you to “move up it up down, side to side, like a rollercoaster”, and with its deep rolling bassline will pull you to the dance floor immediately. The crisp percussion and groovy synths in “Ya Didn’t” show why it was one of the most Shazamed tracks in Ibiza & UK throughout the festival season.
It’s no doubt that these tracks are already crowd favorites. Just take a look at FISHER and VonStroke playing “Stop It” at the Dirtybird Campout!
