2018 New Years Eve Events in Southern California

It’s that time of year…2017 is coming to a close, kids are out of school on winter break, work is slowing down (hopefully), and we need some awesome events to check out as 2018 approaches. Check out the list below of shows taking place throughout Southern California and start planning your New Years Eve. There’s 24 venues listed below with a variety of DJs set to play…there’s gotta be something you like!

Observatory, Santa Ana: Head over to The Observatory in Santa Ana and see Duke Dumont in action on Thursday, December 28th.

Time Nightclub, Costa Mesa: Time Nightclub in Costa Mesa will have four nights of performances of the New Years Eve weekend. On December 28, check out Deorro with Tritonal the following night on December 29th. Gryffin will be next on December 30th with Morten ringing in the New Year with MORTEN. A special Day Break party will take place at 6am on Monday, January 1st to start 2018 off right.

Resolution NYE, OC Fair & Event Center, Costa Mesa: Social Management Group and KROQ will be putting on quite the two day New Years Eve event at the OC Fair & Event Center. On Saturday, December 30th, Dirty Heads, Illenium, 3lau, Hirie, Seedless, Liquid Todd, Jeremiah Red, and M87 will be performing. Sunday, December 31st will see Seven Lions, Young The Giant, SLANDER, Coast Club, Geographer, American Pets, Arsen, and Bon3z on stage.

Countdown NYE, NOS Events Center, San Bernardino: This years edition of Countdown NYE will take place at the NOS Events Center on December 30th and December 31st. The lineup includes the likes of deadmau5, Porter Robinson, Datsik, Flux Pavilion, Zeds Dead b2b Jauz, Shiba San, Diplo, Noisa, Dimension, Flosstradamus, 4B, and What So Not.

Exchange, Los Angeles: On December 27th, What So Not will be at Exchange in Los Angeles, followed by Duke Dumont on December 30th. Gareth Emery will be on the decks for New Years Eve.

Create, Los Angeles: Four days, four top notch performances at Create night Club in Los Angeles. Thursday will see the Showtek brothers on stage followed by Deorro on Friday. GTA will be up next on Saturday with R3hab to come on Sunday.

Common Ground, Los Angeles Convention Center: Famed trance group Above & Beyond will be playing their Common Ground show at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday, December 29th. The show is in support of their January 2018 album of the same name.

Sound Nightclub, Los Angeles: Mark Knight will be playing All Knight Long at Sound Nightclub on New Years Eve (see what they did there?).

Avalon, Hollywood: Avalon in Hollywood will also have four days of performers on their stage for their New Years Eve celebrations. Tigerhear will start it off on December 28th with a hard psy showcase featuring Starx, Lucchii, Seebass, RJ Van Xetten, Ivan Presley, and Nezz on December 29th. DallasK will headline December 30th with Bravo, Tate Sedar, Meirlin b2b DJ Lucid, and Baylienz in support while Markus Schulz will have an open to close set on December 31st.

Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, Los Angeles: Take in the sounds of Illenium on Thursday, December 28th at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Then take a few days to rest up for the Dillon Francis IDGAFOS NYE Experience with Whethan, Valentino Khan, Young Pinch, and Team EZY.

The Novo, Los Angeles: Check out STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) presents A Real and Imagined New Year at The Novo in Los Angeles on Thursday. Masked artist Malaa will be performing next on Friday night.

Minimal Effort at The MacArthur, Los Angeles: Minimal Effort New Years Eve will be taking place at The MacArthur in Los Angeles. Scheduled to perform at the Los Angeles venue are Justin Martin, DJ Tennis, Jimmy Edgar, J.Phlip, DJ Three, Ardalan, Oona Dahl, Droog, Human Resources, and special guest Maya Jane Coles.

Union Nightclub, Los Angeles: Twenty-three artists will be taking over Union Nightclub in Los Angeles on New Years Eve. Room 1 will celebrate the Sci+Tec 10 Year Anniversary with Dubfire, DJ Pierre, Shaded, Julia Govor, Lupe Fuentes, and Lee K. Room 2 will be the Deep LA Takeover with Marques Wyatt, Patricio, and DJ Big Cee. Room 3, presented by Cyclone x Decibel, will have John Tejada, Leo Leal, Amir Javasoul, Haas, Volen, Nordic Soul, and Choice. Room 4, named Understated, will have Todd Edwards, Harvard Bass, Pilo, Matthew Anthony, Monsieur Frazier, Micah Smith, and Hannah Monica.

Belasco Theater, Los Angeles: Da Tweekaz will be spending their New Years Eve at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Supporting them that night will be Code Black, Mekanikal, and Tweekacore’s first show in the USA.

Lot 613, Los Angeles: Two stages and 12 DJs will be ready to go for New Years Eve at Lot 613 in Los Angeles. Stanton Warrors will headline the night, with divaDanielle, Liquorbox b2b King Felix, Loomer, Fatfinger, Jacques The Ripper, Erik Nelson, Sprankles, Holly Adams, Jose Delgado, and Bounce House scheduled to perform as well.

NYE Psychedelic Trance Experience 2018, Downtown Los Angeles: While the location will be revealed Saturday, Decemebr 30th, NYE Psychedelic Trance Experience 2018 has all the psytrance you need, and then some for their New Years Eve show. Presented by PsyTribe U.S.A., New Kicks Records (the label of Coming Soon!!!, and Trance Psyberia, the show will feature Space Cat, Switch, Deedrah, OOOD, Barakuda, Brian Sentient, Trance Psyberia, and Oded Beck from 9:30pm to 6am.

Bassmnt, San Diego: Keys N Krates will start of the NYE festivities at Bassmnt in San Diego on Friday through Bassrush with Autoerotique up next on Saturday. Ring in the New Year with Insomniac as JOYRYDE and Born Dirty take the stage on Sunday night.

Omnia, San Diego: Omnia in San Diego will start of the NYE weekend with G-Eazy on December 30th, then Deorro on Saturday, December 30th, followed by Savi on December 31st.

Bang Bang, San Diego: Friday night will see Kidnap Kid and Boys Don’t Disco play at San Diego’s Bang Bang. Mr. Carmack and PRVDNT will be on the decks Saturday night with Ghastly and Sly Turner bringing it home on Sunday.

OMFG! NYE 2018, Valley View Casino Center, San Diego: LED’s OMFG! NYE 2018 has a stacked lineup for both days of the event taking place at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. Day 1 will see Zedd, Dillon Francis, Illenium, Mr. Carmack, Droeloe, Graves, and San Holo. Day 2’s performers include Tiesto, NGHTMRE, Kayzo, Ghastly, k?d, ARMNHMR, and Jinco.

Spin Nightclub, San Diego: Dillon Francis will be at Spin Nightclub on December 30th with support from Kittens, Hotfire, and Shintaro Yasuda. Bring the New Year on December 31st in wth Lane 8 and a special three hour extended set, with support from Off Of and Rivka M. January 1st will be the first show of 2018 at Spin with DJ Tennis and Harvard Bass set to perform at 5am for FNGRS CRSSD Daybreak.

House of Blues, San Diego: At the House of Blues in San Diego, Craze will be playing a New Years Eve set on Sunday, December 31st.

Snowglobe, South Lake Tahoe: Snowglobe in South Lake Tahoe is looking like the place to be From December 29th through December 31st. On the line up are Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, Travis Scott, Zedd, Khalid, Tycho, E-40, Madeon, Alison Wonderland, Snakehips, Gryffin, Troyboi, San Holo, Lane 8, and Jai Wolf. There’s also Petit Biscuit, Justin Martin, Shiba San, Tokimonsta, Manila Killa, Quin XCII, k?d, The Floozies, They., Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage, Moon Boots, Nombe, Koan Sound, Oliver, and Louis Futon. Still going…there’s Spag Heddy, Kidnap Kid, Graves, Brasstracks, Krane, Luca Lush, Droeloe, Vindata, Falcons, Melvv, Opia, Lophile, Oliver Tree, Alexander Lewis, Option 4. Almost done… LP Giobbi, Joyzu, Cremes N Lotions, Syence, CVRSE, and finally Brownies & Lemonade will be at the festival.
