Kilian Taras ft. Tosinger – Yonke Therapy (Ellis Colin, Rhythm Staircase, and Diego Antoine Remixes)
A trio of talented artists have put their own unique spin on Kilian Taras’ “Yonke Therapy” featuring Tosinger. Ellis Colin, whose real name is Vincenzo Aricò from Campania in Italy, gives us a relaxing version perfect for those summer days at the pool. Rhythm Staircase, which includes of Maurice Porcaro and Stefano Riccardi of Naples in Italy, create a remix that will heat up any dance floor in no time at all. Diego Antoine of Santiago, Chile uses vibrant tribal percussion work in his take on the track from KIMA Music.
As for the title of the song “Yonke Therapy”, Nigerian born, Atlanta based vocalist Tosinger says “‘Yonke’ is just a syllabic exclamatory descriptive word purportedly uttered by the tortoise to describe a type of dance or the effect of the dance. The Yoruba folklore goes that he danced at a party yesterday and danced too hard his body ached, however, his parents must not hear about it because if they do, he will be scolded. Well, ‘dancing is good, and music is therapy’, combine the two, you get “Yonke Therapy“.
