Lauge – Dawn (Album)
Lauge’s third album titled “Dawn” has been released on the renowned psytrance imprint Iboga Records. The LP consists of 75 minutes of downtempo soundscapes as well as upbeat psy-electronica. Eight tracks comprise the set, including “Undercurrent”, “Northbound”, “Taiga”, “Wider Horizons”, “Kamchatka”, “Juvenile,” “Wandering Off…”, and “Cassiopeia”. The album also has two collaborations with fellow Dane producer Feeding Spring.
Copenhagen native Henrik Laugesen’s previously albums include “Sundays” from 2008 (which contains 12 tracks in a combined 60 minutes), and “Pusterum” from 2015 (11 tracks in a combined 150 minutes). He’s also part of the Lauge & Baba Gnohm duo since 2008, who have released songs from Blue Tunes Records, Altar Records, Sibri29 Records, Soundmute Recordings, and Chillbase.
Here’s what Lauge had to say when the album was released last week: “Today is the release day of my 3rd solo album Dawn on the renowned danish label Iboga Records. This album is a combination of genres mainly ambient and melodic goa trance cooked into eight psychedelic downtempo tracks. I have wanted to make an album like this for a while and I’m happy that I finally achieved that.”
