Illenium – Ascend (Album)
Illenium’s third studio album titled “Ascend” has been released on Los Angeles based record label Astralwerks. The LP follows 2016’s “Ashes” and 2017’s “Awake“, both of which were released on MrSuicideSheep’s Seeking Blue and his own record label Kasaya.
Nick Miller includes 17 tracks in the impressive album, with “Take You Down” being put out last August and five other singles released since then. The Denver resident collaborates with Georgia Ku, Jon Bellion, GOLDN, Foy Vance, Oekiin, Bahari, Anna Clendening, Echos, The Chainsmokers and Lennon Stella, Said The Sky and Annika Wells, Kameron Alexander, X Ambassadors, Blanke and Bipolar Sunshine, and Chandler Leighton.
Born in Chicago, he has lived in Seattle, France, and San Francisco before making Denver his home. The 28 year old artist credits being exposed to different cultures and cities during his upbringing to having an open mind and trying new experiences. After seeing a Bassnectar show at Red Rocks Amphitheater, he was inspired to start his own musical journey. As part of his Ascend Tour starting next month, Illenium will be playing three sold out shows at Red Rocks, with area stops at Pechanga Arena in San Diego on Friday December 6 and Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday December 7.
