The Glitch Mob & LICK – System Bleed (Original Mix)
The Glitch Mob have teamed up with rising producer LICK for a midtempo tune called “System Bleed”. After a winding intro to the track, we’re soon given a heavy dose of distorted basslines, punchy drums, and grinding synths. The Glass Air Records release was premiered by The Glitch Mob during their set on the Basspod stage at EDC Las Vegas this year, where they also brought up LICK to play the tune.
The Los Angeles based trio of Boreta (Justin Boreta), edIT (Ed Ma), and Ooah (Josh Mayer) have been relatively quiet on the producing front this year, as their last released was “Rise” with Mako and The Word Alive for League of Legends last September. Also based in LA, Joshua Li has released an album called “Dark Vibe Order“, “The Greatest” with WHIPPED CREAM, and an EP titled “Dimension” this year.
The Glitch Mob say that “We are so fired up to finally release this track with Lick. He’s an incredible young artist and we’ve been playing versions of this in our sets all year. This will be first in a series of collaborations with producers that we admire and creatively vibe with”.
LICK states that “When I heard The Glitch Mob were playing my songs out I reached out to them. Soon enough we put an idea for a song together. They brought me out at EDC to debut it and the rest is history. The Glitch Mob are absolute legends and it’s been an honor working with them.”
