Gene Farris & John Summit – Bass Go (Original Mix)
Chicago house legend Gene Farris has teamed up with rising producer John Summit on the deep, dark, and groovy “Bass Go”. In their first track together, the guys use rolling basslines, deep vocals, and tight percussion work to heat up the dance floor. The sizzling tune was released on Sonny Fodera’s label Solotoko, which has been on a tear the past few weeks with songs like Friend Within’s “Feel It” and George Kwali’s “Feel The Heat” coming from the London based imprint.
Farris, who started his own record label Farris Wheel Recordings in 1998, has worked alongside fellow industry veterans such as Cajmere, Erick Morillo, Jamie Jones, Riva Starr, Harry Romero, Green Velvet, Junior Sanchez, and Loco Dice.
Summit has had his tracks played by the likes of Claude VonStroke, Lee Foss, and Walker & Royce, with releases on labels such as Repopulate Mars, Toolroom, This Ain’t Bristol, and Dirtybird.
Thomas Gold and George Kwali have each played the tune so far.
