G-REX x Sully – Clique (Original Mix)

On December 20, 2019 by ocedm

Collaborating together for the first time, G-REX and Sully give us some surefire heat with a track called “Clique”, out now on Liquid Strangers record label Wakaan. Label veteran Jake Sweeney and newcomer Chris Sullivant use wobbly bass, distorted vocals, and a minimalistic drop in the song. After meeting each other while attending Western Michigan University, the friends decided that it was long overdue for a collaboration to be worked out.

Detroit resident G-REX put out one of the biggest songs of 2018 in “Babatunde” with PEEKABOO in September, then a four track EP two months later titled “Rift“. Earlier this year, he released “Heretic” with Ghastly as a free download.

Los Angeles based Sully released his debut single “Frequency Shift“ in March, and has followed it up with impressive tunes such as “Coast To Coast” and Quake“. Last month, he released his seven song “Break The Floor” EP.

G-REX played the collaboration at Excision’s Lost Lands Festival in September and Wakaan Music Festival in October, while Sully dropped it on his Ignition Mix on Annie Nightingale’s BBC Radio 1 show in October. Supporters include NGHTMRE and SLANDER on Gud Vibrations Radio 147 and Zeds Dead on Deadbeats Radio 129.
