If you’ve been to an Above & Beyond show since 2013, chances are you’ve heard their cover of New Order’s iconic platinum selling record “Blue Monday“. In the seven years since it was first debuted at Alexandra Palace in London, the United Kingdom based trio have gone on to play it at Madison Square Garden, Glastonbury, EDC Las Vegas, Paradiso, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Burning Man, Beyond Wonderland, Electric Zoo, Escape: Psycho Circus, Dreamstate, and more. Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki’s also played the tune during their 2017/2018 Common Ground tour and in a number of their Group Therapy radio shows.

All that being said, Above & Beyond’s version of the 1983 song by the British group has finally been officially released. The track from their famed Anjunabeats record label features Grant’s own vocals as the group “recreates the classic riff and drums on modern hardware“. Even more fitting, it was released last week on Monday January 20, which is the third Monday of the month that is claimed to be the most depressing day of the year.

Andrew Bayer, Mat Zo, Disciples, Genix, Myon, Markus Schulz, Third Party, Shane 54, Robbie Rivera, W&W, Sander van Doorn, Super8 & Tab, Cosmic Gate, MistaJam, and Pasquale Rotella have all played the tune.
