Au5 & Nytrix – Always In A Nightmare (Original Mix)

Au5 and Nytrix follow up their 2018 collaboration “Only In A Dream” with “Always In A Nightmare”, out now on Monstercat. Denver based Austin Collins and Los Angeles based singer/producer/songwriter Eric Stevens use thundering basslines and airy vocals in the melodic bass sequel from the Canadian record label.

Nytrix, who moved from New York to Los Angeles at the age of 17 to start his career in the music industry, has seen his tracks released from labels such as NCS, Dim Mak, and Proximity. A classically trained pianist from New Jersey, Au5 has worked with the likes of Fractal, Crystal Skies, Last Heroes, Culprate, Helicopter Showdown, Danyka Nadeau, Tasha Baxter, Fiora, and Collin McLoughlin.

Au5 says that “Upon hearing the acapella, I was immediately inspired to get to work. The song kind of writes itself when I hear a vocal acapella that I strongly resonate with. Collaborating with Nytrix is always a blast. We tend to gravitate towards a similar sonic aesthetic, and we both have a strong artistic vision. I’m looking forward to seeing what our next big project beholds!”

Nytrix states “Working with Au5 is always an artistically expanding experience. I feel like we both really aim to make a story through soundscape and lyric. In a way, when we have made these songs, it was almost like working on a large painting. It was also fascinating to make a Part 2 of a song. I have never done that before.”
