Wh0 ft. Nile Rodgers & Josh Barry – Better Day (Original Mix)

On April 4, 2021 by ocedm

Formed in 2018, the mysterious Wh0 duo have already seen their stock rise significantly in the short amount of time. For their latest release called “Better Day”, the United Kingdom based pair team up with the legendary Nile Rodgers and singer Josh Barry. The Wh0 Plays and Thrive Music release is inspired by Norma Jean’s “High Society“, which was originally put out in 1979 and was produced by New York native Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, his Chic bandmate. The disco tinged tune with infectious melodies and soulful vocals were recorded at London’s famed Abbey Road Studios, which is most known for where The Beatles recorded a number of their songs.

Oliver Heldens, Bob Sinclar, TCTS, and MistaJam are a few early supporters of the track.

Back in August, Wh0 popped up on my radar when I heard “Everyday” featuring Revelle, while earlier this year they released “Out Of Time” featuring Clementine Douglas.

Grammy award winner Nile Rodgers and Chic are behind some of the most iconic disco songs, including “Le Freak” (which Oliver Heldens remixed with his approval) and “Good Times“. The producer, composer, and guitarist has also collaborated with the likes of David Bowie, Sigala, Madonna, Avicii, Pharrell Williams, and Daft Punk over the years.

Known for touring as Gorgon City’s vocalist at major festivals like Coachella, SXSW, Glastonbury, Ultra Music Festival, Reading & Leeds, Hard Summer, Pukklepop, and Electric Daisy Carnival, London based Barry has also worked with artists such as Sonny Fodera, Fabich, and Friction.
