Spencer Brown – I Was Too Young for 90s Raves EP

On June 3, 2021 by ocedm

Making his debut on Factory 93 Records is Spencer Brown with an impeccable EP titled “I Was Too Young for 90s Raves”. The 26 year old artist includes “Thanks, Guy”, “ID v14” with Raito, and “I Was Too Young for 90s Raves” in the set from the imprint that was launched earlier this year in March under Pasquale Rotella’s Insomniac Music Group.

Although he might have been too young for 90s raves, Brown expertly crafts an EP that features melodic progressions, dark beats, and after hours vibes. The release also gives Brown another opportunity to collaborate with French DJ and producer Médéric Martin, who Brown previously worked with in 2019 on “Star Allies” from mau5trap.

Songs from the EP have been supported by the likes of Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden, Pasquale Rotella, Qrion, Shane 54, Amir Hussain, Kryder, Genix, Amy Wiles, Matt Fax, Rodg, Eddie Halliwell, and Tim Cullen.

The San Francisco based artist has had quite the career since he started DJing as a teenager. He made his live debut at Avicii’s 2013 Hollywood Bowl show and also opened for Avicii during his True Tour throughout North America in support of his debut album “TRUE”, playing at stadiums such as Barclays Center in Brooklyn, TD Garden in Boston, and the Rogers Centre in Toronto. He also graduated from Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2016.
