Morgin Madison – Living the Phantasm (The Remixes)
Morgin Madison released his debut 12 track album “Living the Phantasm” back in May on deadmau5’s record label mau5trap. The Boise based artist now has a remix package out called “Living the Phantasm (The Remixes)”, which features his chill mix of “Feels Like” along with five other unique producers giving their take on a few other songs.
Low Poly (Brooklyn based John Tamburro) gives us a glitchy and spacey remix of “Free DLC”, while RIBB[]N (United Kingdom native John Newman) goes the ethereal progressive house route in “Start Again”. Speaker Honey (Kristy Parker of San Diego) gives “Initialize the Phantasm” a fresh melodic techno spin, with KEETZ (Brian Kish from Michigan) using thumping basslines and crisp percussion in his version of “I Hate Portals”. ASHE (Toronto based Jonathon Ashe) rounds out the set by bringing the drums to the forefront in his remix of “Reflect”.
“My debut album ‘Living the Phantasm’ means the world to me, so getting the opportunity to ask some of mau5trap’s artists to remix the album was a dream come true,” says Madison. “I wanted to make sure every artist got a chance to pick a track they felt the most passionate about, and I think the end result is a remix EP where every artist gets to shine through with their own signature sound. I’m very proud of the work they’ve all done on this EP and I love every single track.”
