sumthin sumthin – Nightmares (Original Mix)

On July 21, 2021 by ocedm

I happened to come across “Nightmares” by sumthin sumthin the other day and knew right away after one play of the track I had to get it on the site. What’s even better is that Conrad Woodul is a local guy from San Clemente, the southernmost city right  here in Orange County. The tune was put out on Jadū Dala, the Philadelphia based record label started by Richfellow in 2017. I couldn’t explain the track any better than the man himself, so see his quote below:

“‘Nightmares’ to me is all about expressing both dark and light energy simultaneously,” says sumthin sumthin. “Although melodic and ethereal, this track also contains many aggressive/dark undertones. As I evolve as a producer I want to strive to create this melancholy atmosphere for my audience as often as possible, mostly to represent the duality that we experience in life daily.”

Tracks from the Icon Collective graduate have been supported by RL Grime, Alison Wonderland, Zeds Dead, Jauz, Noisia,  Louis the Child, Zomboy, ATLiens, QUIX, Ekali, G-REX, UZ, A-Trak, Baauer, Subtronics, TroyBoi, CloZee, TYNAN, and Hydraulix.
