Monocule & LAMAS – Your Eyes (Extended Mix)
Back in March, Nicky Romero and Protocol Recordings A&R manager Jorik van de Pol launched a new livestream series on Twitch called demo:drop, where unsigned artists can submit their tracks and receive feedback. The first song to be signed from the monthly series was “Nobody Else” by R.Braga and Galluxy in the middle of the summer.
The latest tune to be signed to the label is a collaboration under Romero’s Monocule alias and Brazilian artist LAMAS called “Your Eyes”. In October’s demo:drop episode 6, Nick Rotteveel was immediately impressed with the dark and haunting progressive house song, with van de Pol also agreeing that it would make a great Monocule collaboration.
Last year, Monocule released his “Volume 1” EP which included “Time To Save” with Tim van Werd featuring Mosimann, “Close To Me”, and “Waiting For You”. This year has seen songs like “Awakening” featuring Sarah de Warren and “Ways To Heaven” with Jamis featuring Michael G Moore from the Dutch artist’s deeper and darker alias.
The debut track from Juiz de Fora based Lamas titled “Move With Me” was this past May.
