Deborah De Luca – Hey Britney (Power Mix)
Italian DJ and producer Deborah De Luca brings the techno vibes to the 1999 debut song from Britney Spears in “…Baby One More Time“. The recognizable piano chords and iconic “Hit me baby one more time” vocals from the original are still there, along with heart pounding basslines and tight drum work from the native of Naples. Her power mix version called “Hey Britney” was released from her own record label in Solamente, which she launched in 2013 after staring her career in 2008.
I first came across De Luca a few years ago when I watched her livestream at Château de Chambord in France for Cercle in 2017. That mix, along with last years sets at Göbekli Tepe in Turkey for Limits Off Open Studio and at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples for Beatport are still in my set playlist that I listen to frequently.
