Shanghai Doom – Rave Whistle (Original Mix) [Free Download]
As a thank you to their fans, experimental bass duo Shanghai Doom have released “Rave Whistle” as a free download. One of the comments on the post said that “This is the kind of shit you hear at a festival and think about for a year and never find out what it was”, and I couldn’t agree more. How many times do you hear a dope track in a set only to never figure out who it’s by or hoping it gets released someday? Thankfully, Shanghai Doom have unleashed “Rave Whistle” upon us!
The New Jersey based group of Andrew Lin (also known for his work under Aylen) and Mike Manfready first came on my radar in March with their tune called “Outsiders” with Runnit from Bassrush Records. Last September, Shanghai Doom released their debut album titled “Dark Waters” from Liquid Strangers record label Wakaan.
Previous tracks of theirs have been supported by Excision, Zeds Dead, Mr. Carmack, Minnesota, SubDocta, Lektrique, Kaivon, Jon Casey, TYNAN, Buku, Gladez, and TVBOO.
