Delta Heavy – Heartbeat ft. DJ Rae (Extended Mix)
One of my favorite drum and bass groups in Delta Heavy have released their first tune of the year called “Heartbeat” featuring DJ Rae. Londoners Simon James and Ben Hall were “inspired by the sounds of classic piano house and UK rave”, which combined with the anthemic vocals of DJ Rae take this dnb tune from UKF over the top.
The track was recently supported by Rene LaVice on his BBC Radio 1 Drum & Bass Show.
Some of my early favorites from the Delta Heavy duo include “Bar Fight”, “Kill Room”, their remix of “Faded” by Zhu, “Apollo”, “Empire”, and their remix of “Crowd Control” by Excision and Downlink. The guys also previous worked with DJ Rae on “Collide” from their second album “Only In Dreams” released in 2019 from RAM Records.
Singer, songwriter, DJ, and producer Rae Hall has been seen on labels such as Defected Records, Strictly Rhythm, Toolroom Records, Hacienda, Ultra Music, Spinnin’ Records, and Armada. She also hosts her own radio show called The Rated Takeover every Friday night from 6pm-8pm GMT (10am-12pm PST) on HouseFM.net.
