Canabliss – Plasma EP

Last August, I had the chance to interview Canabliss about her wobbly track “Freak It” from SSKWAN. Now making her debut on Liquid Stranger’s main label Wakaan, the Toronto based artist has unleashed her ground shaking four track “Plasma” EP upon us. The heavy and deep dubstep set includes “Currents”, “Quicksand”, “Safety Island”, and “Sojourn”. The dark yet entrancing EP from self taught musician Samantha Infusini shows that it’s certainly a good idea to keep tabs on the rising producer in the future.

Canabliss states “Electricity is everywhere, even in our own brains. Currents is about forming connections spiritually and physically in life. In this EP ‘Plasma’ I explored new sound design with tons of heavy bass and dark atmospheres to help express some of the more difficult times we experienced these past couple years. In Canada we’ve still been pretty much locked down without any live music available, so writing music has been my primary outlet.”
