AMÉMÉ – Wait No More (Extended Mix)
Benin native AMÉMÉ first appeared on my radar last month with his impressive remix of “Cosa Buena” by Yamil & G.Zamora, and then again a few short weeks later with an intriguing remix of “Back in The Taxi” by Jan Blomqvist. After hearing these two remixes from AMÉMÉ, I was anticipating what his next original mix would sound like.
This time around, the Hubert Sodogandji has a new single out now titled “Wait No More” featuring his “signature sound infusing tribal drums, shuffling percussion, melodic synths, magnetic vocals, and Afro grooves throughout destined to ignite the dancefloor.” The captivating house song was released by Nic Fanciulli’s United Kingdom based Saved Records, which he launched in 2005.
The Brooklyn based artist played the tune last September during his guest mix for The Crosstown Mix Show 034, with support from Pete Tong on Global Dance HQ April 4 2022 (where it was selected as the Essential New Tune), Mark Knight on Toolroom Radio 628, Sam Divine on Defected Radio Show 306, and ESSEL on Toolroom Radio 630.
