Sulfurex – Point Break (The Obsessed Remix)
In 1994, Sulfurex released “Point Break” on Missile Records, the label founded in the same year by Tim Taylor. Almost three decades later, The Obsessed breathes new life into the classic acid techno tune with his fresh take from Mark Sherry’s Techburst Records. Scottish DJ and producer Martin Langer uses “pounding gated kicks, 909 percussion, and a chopped-up rendition of the original acid pattern.”
Label head Sherry played the song on Outburst Radioshow 617, with Sean Tyas also supporting it on Wet Wednesdays and Kaeno on The Vanishing Point Reloaded 107.
