Tom & Collins and Francis Mercier – No Me Importa (Extended Mix)

Tom & Collins and Francis Mercier have teamed up on an ethereal and atmospheric house track titled “No Me Importa”. The pulsing and brooding song with crisp percussion elements was released through REALM, the record label launched by Gorgon City in London in 2017.

“‘No Me Importa’ is a great musical balance between Francis’ and our roots,” states Tom & Collins. “We tried to put a lot of emotion in the chords and, combined with simple Spanish lyrics, we think it’ll be great for the dance floor and connecting with people’s emotions.”

Says Mercier: “I’m fluent in Spanish, and instantly fell in love with this topline. I wanted to share the project with my favorite Latin DJ duo, Tom & Collins, to let as many Spanish-speaking individuals experience the power and lyrical significance of this record – to be proud of one’s eccentricities and not care what others think.”

Label heads Gorgon City along with Oliver Heldens and TCTS have supported the tune so far.

Juan Pablo Escudero and Jorge Corral of Mexico City have played at festivals around the world, including L Festival in Costa Mesa, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Ultra Music Festival in Peru, EDC in Las Vegas, Amsterdam Dance Event in Amsterdam, and Beyond Wonderland Mexico.

A native of Port-au-Prince in Haiti and now based in New York City, Mercier has performed on the decks at some of New York’s widely known clubs like Marquee, Lavo, Webster Hall, Sony Hall, and Pacha.
