Bougenvilla – Bubblegum (Original Mix) + Interview

Appearing on Hardwell’s imprint Revealed Recordings for the first time are Bougenvilla with a bouncy track called “Bubblegum”. The latest tune from Dutch duo Shefida Nagel and Jeremy van de Hoeven is perfect to get the crowd going at both the club and a festival!

Read on for an interview with Bougenvilla as they talk about their collaborative process, connecting with Hardwell and his label, artists to watch for, and more!

Hey there Bougenvilla, what have you guys been up to lately?

This year so far has been a mix of getting back into the groove after not being able to go on tour because of a certain cough virus and of course making lots of music. So expect more from us 😉

How would you describe your sound in three animals, and why those animals?

Lion, because of its power and energy.

Chameleon, for its ability to easily adapt and fit in almost seamlessly.

Octopus, because of its versatility.

What were some of the highlights from your summer?

This summer we made a lot of cool tracks which we are very much looking forward to releasing. Besides that it was very nice to play all the shows again with the highest and lightest highlight being Parookaville.

“Bubblegum” is the title of your new track, which I can definitely see going off in the club or at a festival. What is the collaborative process like between you two when it comes to producing a song?

We’ve been very busy with producing club tracks since that is what our hearts are with. Jeremy made some club track sketches/demos, then we sat together and finished the ones we liked the most or we believed had the most potential. In the end it took us one full day to finish Bubblegum.

How did you connect with Hardwell and the Revealed Recordings team and decide to release the track from the label?

We were signed at the same booking agency as Hardwell and at one point he asked us to be a part of a special Hardwell night on Ibiza. What ultimately brought us to Revealed was a request from them to have a meeting to go through demo’s we had at the time. We had a good vibe there and pretty much promised them that we would release there.

Favorite song of 2022: We are waiting for Spotify to tell us that at the end of the year.
