Nicky Romero & Afrojack – Back To Where We Started (Extended Mix)

On November 15, 2022 by ocedm

A few weeks ago, Nicky Romero and Afrojack joined forces as 2=1 at Amsterdam Music Festival during Amsterdam Dance Event. The two Dutch artists opened their set with their first collaboration together titled “Back To Where We Started”. The energetic and bouncy tune was released on Protocol Recordings, the imprint Romero started in 2012.

“After many years of friendship and remix work back and forth on each other’s imprints, it was time to finally level up in the form of our first official collaboration ever,” said Romero. “Super happy we found a way to blend both styles into one hybrid club tune.”

Afrojack states that “Nicky and I have been friends and worked together for many years, and we had a great time finally making our first official collaboration and performing it together during our back-to-back set at AMF this year!”

Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Audien, W&W, Lucas & Steve, Mike Williams, Showtek, Futuristic Polar Bears, Alan Walker, Antoine Delvig, and Albert Neve have all supported the tune.

Nick Rotteveel has released his “Perception” EP, “On My Mind” with Tim van Werd under his Monocule alias, and “So Much Love” with Almero this year.

Over the past few months, Nick van de Wall has put out “Feels Like Home” with DubVision, “Day N Night” with Black V Neck featuring Muni Long, and “Worlds On Fire” with R3hab featuring Au/Ra.
