Since Armand Van Helden released “Wings” in 2016, the well received house track has been streamed over 22 million times on Spotify alone. Six years later, the Boston native enlists the euphoric and soulful vocal talents of English singer and songwriter Karen Harding for a fresh take on “Wings (I Won’t Let You Down)”. Then upbeat, disco tinged version (which samples PH.D’s 1981 song “I Won’t Let You Down”) was released through Spinnin’ Records, the imprint based in the Netherlands which was launched in 1999.

“When I heard Wings, it instantly made me feel nostalgia,” says Harding. “I didn’t want to take away from the original because it has such a great message so I was honoured to be able to to add to the idea and I love the story. I hope that it can transport listeners to a good place. Buzzed to work with the legend Armand Van Helden, I’m a big fan and it was so exciting to work with him on this record.”

The tune has been played by Oliver Heldens, Armin van Buuren, Diplo, Nicky Romero, Lucas & Steve, Promise Land, Wh0, Mike Williams, MorganJ, Dombresky, David Penn, Firebeatz, Futuristic Polar Bears, Albert Neve, Charlie Lane, Dennis Cartier, Hard Rock Sofa, Judge Jules, Leftwing : Kody, and TCTS.

Grammy nominated artist Armand Van Helden, who is also part of Duck Sauce with A-Trak, has also been behind tracks such as “The Music Began To Play” with Mark Knight, “Bonkers” with Dizzee Rascal, and “I Want Your Soul”.

Newcastle native Karen Harding has previously worked with the likes of Wilkinson on “Sweet Lies”, Purple Disco Machine and Boris Dlugosch on “Love For Days”, and Giorgio Moroder on “Good For Me”.
