i_o – In My Head (SYNTHYA Remix) [Free Download]
In September 2020, the late i_o released a captivating track called “In My Head” from Armada Music. Putting his progressive trance touch on the tune is Italian artist SYNTHYA. It’s a fitting tribute to one of my favorite DJ and producer who left us all too soon.
SYNTHYA has also remixed “Feel The Same” by AWAKNED with Mazare, “Thing Called Love” by Above & Beyond featuring Richard Bedford, and “Only Now” by Seven Lions featuring Tyler Graves.
After a bit of research, SYNTHYA is a new alias of Alessandro Gazzola, who has gone by GAZZ since 2018. After revealing himself behind the project at the beginning of the year, he stated:
“Synthya is a love letter to trance, drum&bass and neoy2k aesthetics.
It has been my everyday thought for 2 years, so it feels incredible to finally share it with the world. Through this project I am 100% delivering the best of my music, and there’s already a lot of it lined up and ready to be released throughout the year. I cannot wait! I wish I can tell you a lot more, but be sure that 2023 is gonna be a blast of a year.
I will still keep making music as GAZZ, and the alias will stay active and thriving, but I’m definitely gonna be focusing on the new project more from now on.
I also feel like spending a few words about this last year. 2022 changed me to the core as a person; the experiences I made, the people I worked with, it all made it the best of my life so far.”
