DJ Minx – The Throne EP
Veteran artist DJ Minx has released her latest EP called “The Throne” from Higher Ground. The two track set also includes “Waling Tall” and features her own vocals with industrial elements and crisp percussion. The EP was put out on the record label Diplo launched in 2019.
“This, my friends, is one of the best musical feelings I’ve had in a long time, and I’m in my feelings bringing it to you!,” says DJ Minx. “Welcome to my world of Detroit realness. In this two-track EP, I present, via Higher Ground, ‘The Throne’ and ‘Walking Tall.’ It’s giving late-night, closer vibes. Let’s get into it!”
Detroit native Jennifer Witcher has been DJing since the early 1990s and founded the Women on Wax collective and record label in 1996. Her first big track came in 2004 called “A Walk in The Park”, which received some fresh remixes near the end of last year from Seth Troxler, Soul Clap, Carl Craig, and Ardalan from Factory 93 Records.
Later this month, she will be playing at EDC Las Vegas on the Bionic Jungle stage on Sunday May 21. On Saturday July 22, DJ Minx will be part of Carl Craig’s Party/After-Party Sessions presented by MOCA, Insomniac, Secret Project Present Party/After-Party Sessions alongside Moodymann and Erno. The event will take place at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Los Angeles.
