SOMMA & Maz – Body Language ft. Coach Harrison (Original Mix)

On June 10, 2023 by ocedm

SOMMA and Maz have enlisted the vocal talents of Coach Harrison on their new melodic house and techno tune titled “Body Language”. The mesmerizing and hypnotic song was released through Hurry Up Slowly, a Miami based record label and event series launched by Malóne and Calussa in 2021.

“‘Body Language’ opens with simple hats and arps, which sets the fundamental rhythmic energy to be built on throughout. The track is driven by a percussive floor of shakers, groovy hats, cowbells, and congo fills. Striking piano chords fill the harmonic space, creating melodic suspense when filtered up and down throughout the track. During the buildup, toplines are contrasted with rhythmic marimba melodies to build tension ahead of the groove-stimulating drop. Built from tribal drum grooves and euphoric vocal harmonies, ‘Body Language’ is a trance-inducing afro house heater.”

SOMMA explains that “We’ve brought together our unique backgrounds and musical styles to create a blend of groovy deep house and afro elements that will transport you straight to the dance floor. We’re excited to share this summer anthem with the world. Get ready to move!”

Adds Maz: “To be honest, I’m very excited about ‘Body Language’. I absolutely love this tune, and it’s thrilling to receive such positive feedback from other DJs. Keinemusik, Carlita, and DJ Tennis are already supporting the track. The crowd also seems to love it, so yeah, I’m pretty hyped to see this one make an impact on the scene.”

SOMMA played the song last month during his guest mix on Ascension Radio 003, while Maz played it earlier this year at Warung Beach Club in Brazil.

Berlin based Jan-Niklas Siebelds has been behind tracks such as “Color Blue” with Sasson featuring Nathan Nicholson, “Howl” with SHELLS, and “Rush” with Jem Cooke.

Other tunes of Brazilian artist Thomaz Prado to check out include his remix of his track “Banho De Folhas” with Luedji Luna, “Banzai” with Bhaskar, and “Cercley”.

Singer and songwriter Ulrich Harrison of Jamaica has previously worked with Vintage Culture on “Hear You Calling” and Nu Aspect on “If You Wanna”.
