Franky Wah – Road To Ibiza (Mixtape)
Frank Way started his 16 week SHÈN Ibiza residency at Club Chinois on Sunday June 18, which runs through Sunday October 1. In addition to his own set on the opening night, there was a back to back with Sasha and John Digweed as well as performances by Kalismã and Richie Blacker.
To kick off his residency at the 1920s Shanghai inspired club, Frank Wah released his “Road To Ibiza” mixtape which includes nine tracks and a handful of collaborations. Released from the British artist’s own SHÈN Recordings he launched in 2019, the set will take you on a captivating journey through melodic house and techno.
The mixtape consists of “Da Capo”, “Choose Your Own Adventure” with Richie Blacker, “Paradium”, “Dimensions”, “Dawn” with Artche, “The Prophecy” with Out Of Mind, “Heavy Heat” with Paige and Jem Cooke, “Speak to the Highers” with Sorley, and “Lost In Space” with Korolova.
Songs from the mixtape have been supported by Oliver Heldens, Vintage Culture, EDX, Gorgon City, Solardo, Danny Howard, Leftwing : Kody, Pete Tong, Sister Bliss, TCTS, MK, David Gausa, HANA, Oliver Heldens, Vintage Culture, EDX, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Nora En Pure, Cosmic Gate, Paraleven, Tiesto, and Ferry Corsten.
Throughout his SHÈN Ibiza residency, the producers he worked with on the mixtape in Richie Blacker, Artche, Out Of Mind, Paige, Sorley, and Korolova will all make appearances on select nights. Other DJs scheduled to perform include the likes of Joris Voorn, Nora En Pure, Pete Tong, Hot Since 82, Yotto, Marsh, Miss Monique, Cristoph, Heidi, and more.
Originally from Doncaster in Yorkshire, Luke Storrs released his “Darkest Hour” EP with Cristoph earlier this year, which included a collaboration with Diana Miro.
