deadmau5 & Kaskade – I Remember (John Summit Remix)
Since the beginning of this year, John Summit’s remix of the iconic “I Remember” by deadmau5 and Kaskade has been a staple in many of his sets. The Chicago native played it during his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, at his Off The Grid takeover at Factory Town in Miami, EDC Las Vegas on the Circuit Grounds stage, and at his Off The Grid takeover at The Brooklyn Mirage.
Originally released in 2008, the song was included in deadmau5’s “Random Album Title” album and Kaskade’s “Strobelite Seduction” album. Almost 15 years later, the Chicago native keeps the recognizable vocals of Haley Gibby and gives it a modern twist with arpeggiated synths, a pulsing bassline, and celestial synths with two distinct drops. The tune was released by mau5trap, the record label launched by deadmau5 in 2007.
The Miami based artist says it’s “Such an honor to remix this record. It was truly the track that made me fall in love with dance music and kick off this whole journey for me, so to remix it 15 years later is a huge full-circle moment.”

Next month, John Summit will be performing at HARD Summer in Los Angeles which will take on Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6. The following month, he is scheduled to play at Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas which takes place Friday September 22 Saturday September 23, and Sunday September 24.
