Zardonic – Superstars (Album)
Venezuelan bass and metal artist Zardonic has released his next album called “Superstars”, his third in over 20 years as a DJ and producer. Pulsing synths, pummeling basslines, and a host of collaborating artists are featured on the heavy hitting set. As with his 2015 album “Antihero” and 2018’s “Become”, “Superstars” was released through MNRK Heavy, which is under New York City based MNRK Music Group (formerly known as eOne Music).
The 12 track album consists of “Bring The Rukus” featuring The Surgery and MC Reptile, “Rock And Roll Tonight” featuring Carl Sentance, “Neon Rain” featuring Toronto Is Broken and Daedric, “Follow Me” featuring Camo MC, “Rave Until The Apocalypse” featuring SHINING, and “Death By The Bassline” featuring Mechanical Vein.
Also included are “Corrupted” featuring Hevy and Bruno Balanta, “Indestructible” featuring Jean Bormann, “Bitter” featuring Reebz, “Paradise” featuring Blitz Union, “Redemption” featuring Omnimar, and “Blue Monday” featuring Reebz.
Regarding the closing track, Zardonic says that “The Blue Monday cover is a bit of an odd one out. Since it is the only electro / synthwave / industrial track on the record which is mostly comprised of drum & bass. Originally this was commissioned by Kluge Interactive for an exclusive track of their newly released “Synthwave Essentials Vol 3” DLC Pack for Synth Riders VR.
Then I went ahead and sent it to Nathan Quinn from MNRK and asked him if he liked it, to which he immediately responded by sending me a video conference link and started the conversation off with ‘WE GOTTA PUT THAT ON THE ALBUM!’. And I’m glad we worked it out! With the vocal talent of Reebz on top, this bonus track is a perfect connection between all my favorite things. I can’t wait for everyone to check it out!”
Federico Ágreda Álvarez, who is now based in Germany, will be playing at Let It Roll in Czech Repulic on August 3-5 and Infest Festival in England on August 25-27.
