nilsix – The Void (Original Mix)
Earlier this year in March, Orjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma announced their Nilsix project with the release of “Anhedonia”. In their next collaboration titled “the Void”, the Norwegian native and Dutch artist use pummeling percussion, ethereal melodies, and rave stabs. The tune was released from Los Angeles based Dreamstate Records, which is under Pasquale Rotella’s Insomniac Music Group.
“We started working on ‘The Void’ in Mark’s parents’ house, because Mark’s studio wasn’t ready yet and his dad has a great studio setup at home,” shares Nilsen. “It was the second time I visited Mark in Breda, and after seeing some of the places where Tiësto started his career and having a few beers at the city square, we got to work in the studio. After ‘Anhedonia,’ we wanted to make something a bit darker that would work wonders on festivals and that’s how ‘The Void’ was born.”
Mark Sixma played the track on his radio show The World Of Six 028, with further support from Unleash The Beat 561 and Find Your Harmony Radioshow 367.
Kirkenes native Orjan Nilsen and Breda based Mark Sixma will be playing as nilsix at Dreamstate Southern California, which takes place Friday November 17 and Saturday November 18 at the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach.
