Colyn – Cyclone EP
Finding a home once again on Rose Avenue Records is Dutch artist Colyn and his new EP titled “Cyclone”. Featuring 28 minutes of mesmerizing melodies, spellbinding synths, and captivating beats, the set will have you entranced from start to finish. The four tack EP consisting of “Cyclone”, “Signal Received”, “Rushing”, “Action XI” was put out on the Los Angeles based imprint launched in 2018 by RÜFÜS DU SOL. “I’m happy to be back on Rose Avenue with a diverse four-track EP,” shares Ewout Colijn. “The title track ‘Cyclone’ has been a staple in my sets over the last months, with its signature trance-inspired theme and a powerful climax it always delivers. ‘Rushing’ has my own vocals processed with a vocoder, supported by a breakbeat motive in the breakdown. ‘Signal Received’ is the indie part of this EP with an Italo bassline supporting a euphoric synth riff. ‘Action XI’ is has a lot of my signature in it, from the growling synths in the drop to the dreamy riff that highlights the breakdown.’’
In July, Colyn performed on the Freedom stage at Tomorrowland in Belgium where he played a couple tracks from the EP. Early supporters of songs from the release include Fatum, Shogun, Vintage Culture, W&W, and Cosmic Gate.
The Amsterdam based DJ and producer has also released tunes such as “Day 8”, “Unstable Gravity Alert”, and his “Oxygen Level Low” EP.
