SIDEPIECE – On My Way ft. Faouzia (Original Mix)
If you’ve caught a set of SIDPIECE at EDC Mexico, EDC Las Vegas, or Day Trip Festival during their back to back with Lee Foss, you might recognize a vibrant track called “On My Way” featuring Faouzia. The SIDEPIECE duo consisting of Nitti (Miami native Ricky Mears) and Party Favor (Los Angeles based Dylan Ragland) start off with a couple of striking piano chords before the recognizable vocals of Faouzia come in, leading into a truly groovy and catchy beat. The song was released through New York based Big Beat Records, which was founded in 1986.
SIDEPIECE recently started their Home Run tour, which will stop by the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Friday November 10 and the Beach house in San Diego on Saturday November 25.
I’ve been a fan of the powerful vocals of Faouzia for a few years now since I first heard GOLDHOUSE’s remix of her track “Tears Of Gold” in 2020 and Michael Calfan’s remix of her song “Hero” in 2021. Born in Morocco and raised in Canada, Faouzia Ouihya released her debut album “Citizens” in May 2022, which featured a collaboration with John Legend called “Minefields“.
