Merow – Kick It To The Drum (Original Mix)
Inspired by her debut performance at Tomorrowland in Belgium this past July, Dutch DJ and producer Merow has created a festival ready tune called “Kick It To The Drum”. The track with gritty synths and a booming bassline was released through STMPD RCRDS, which was started in 2016 by Martin Garrix. Check out this video of Merow playing the song live at Amsterdam Dance Event last week!
“This year, I played at Tomorrowland for the first time ever, and right after my gig, I was incredibly inspired by the electric atmosphere and energy of the festival,” shares Megan Nelemaat. “The very next day, I decided to channel that inspiration into creating something new, and ‘Kick It To The Drum’ was born. I aimed to craft a drop that would capture people’s attention with its uplifting melodies and powerful bass hits, ensuring that when it’s played live, it’ll induce some serious bassface.”
Martin Garrix played the song on The Martin Garrix Show 472, with further support from Armin van Buuren, Lucas & Steve, Firebeatz, and Swanky Tunes.
Alkmaar native Merow, who is a graduate of Herman Brood Academie in Utrecht and was selected for the Martin Garrix x JBL Music Academy earlier this year, has seen her songs on imprints such as noir sur blanc, Spinnin’ Create, and House Call Records.
