Nicky Romero – Nightvision EP

Since the middle of summer, Nicky Romero has been releasing tracks from his “Nightvision” EP. The four song set has now been released in its entirety from his imprint Protocol Recordings, which he started in 2012 in Amsterdam. The EP consists of “Skin On Skin”, “Desire” with TELYKAST and Linney, “Sacrifice”, “Give In”, “Mayhoya”, and a remix of “Give In” by VE/RA.

“The ‘Nightvision’ EP is all about developing myself as an artist,” explains Romero. “One of the most important musical ingredients from my career is the melodies; they help me create an emotion and tell a story. They created the identity that I have right now as Nicky Romero. I tried to bring these elements from earlier in my career together in a new way in 2023, and I think ‘Nightvision’ really converts that into the best possible way I could do it. With the Nightvision event on December 2nd, we are trying to do something super unique with the visuals. We’ll have live performances with guests, and I’ll be playing live instruments myself. We wanted to create a real, industrial, mysterious kind of event that is all about the nightlife. The musical elements of the ‘Nightvision’ EP really bring that together very smoothly. I’m super proud of the EP and really looking forward to the event.”

Dutch DJ and producer Nicky Romero will hold his first ever solo show called Nightvision tomorrow Saturday December 2 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam. He will play an open to close set containing his first hits as well as recent tunes, along with a series of special guests.

Los Angeles based Kyle Tonoli and Trevor Klaiman will be playing at Countdown NYE 2023, which takes place Saturday December 30 and Sunday November 31 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino.

Since I last wrote about Caitlin Linney’s collaboration with Christina Novelli in “Fallen Ones”, the North Carolina native has worked with Castor & Pollux and Over Easy on “Shot In The Dark” and William Black on “Higher Now”.

Dutch artist Vera van de Kerkhof has played at Tomorrowland in Belgium and HRFST in the Netherlands this year, with “Love & Peace” with The Rocketman being one of my favorite songs of hers.
