Adriatique – The Future Is Unknown ft. Delhia de France (Original Mix)

On December 4, 2023 by ocedm

Adriatique have announced the launch of their new imprint called X Recordings with the release of “The Future Is Unknown” featuring Delhia de France. Dark basslines, arpeggiated synths, and mysterious vocals are used in the first song from the record label. Adriatique and Delhia de France first teamed up in 2020 on “Home” with Marino Canal.

The creation of the new imprint aims to “serve as an extension of their live event brand and home for their hypnotic electronic creations,” which they have performed at noted venues such as The Brooklyn Mirage in New York, Labyrinth in London, Pacha in Ibiza, and Gashouder in Amsterdam.

Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer say that “X is a multifaceted and versatile symbol, also seen as an intersection where paths cross. We feel X is an illustration of reflection and duality; both play major roles in our careers. As a platform, X welcomes influences and inspiration from all the people and artists involved. X serves as a catalyst for contemporary music and art, celebrating the luminaries of the past while embracing technological advancements and futuristic visions.”

The guys have played the song in their sets since the beginning of the year, including at Hatshepsut temple in Egypt for Cercle, Time Warp in Germany, Printworks in London, and Tomorrowland in Belgium.

Adriatique, who first met in 2008 in Zurich, have been behind tracks such as “Miracle” with WhoMadeWho, a remix of “I Need You” by Elderbrook, and a remix of “On My Knees” by RÜFÜS DU SOL.

Franziska Grohmann, who splits her time between Berlin and Los Angeles, has previously worked with the likes of Anyma on “Walking With A Ghost”, Sultan + Shepard on “Zima”, and Monkey Safari on “Gravity”.
